   General Than Swe is the First Strong Man of Burma.

   The Chinese leaders always call him Than Rui. Wrong!

   The Chinese think that Than is his family name, wrong too! The Burmese have no family name.

    General Than Swe, same as General Ne Win or other Junta's top leaders, past and present, is also a well-known believer of witchcraft and the astrology, especially when facing the nation affairs. By contructions of bridges, dams,even some pagodas,all these generals like to sacrifice the alive children to appease the angry Burmese nats (spirits).

   On 26 & 27 August Planet Mars was approaching Earth to the nearest point. The “royal”astrologer prognosticated General Than Swe that the ruler would meet catastrophe or somebody would usurp the throne.

   General Than Swe asked the fortune-teller in panic for advice. So the astrologer told him to ward off evil (yeddayah chay in Burmese) by spreading a rumour far and wide that (sale of ) millions of gold is out (Than-ne-chi-Shwe-yaung-htwet-pyi in Burmese) ,in other words, 'Than Shwe is out'.Than Shwe means in Burmese 'millions of gold'.

   By this way the critical period would pass and the evil or the pretender would disappear, said the “royal” astrologer.

   However,hearing the unprecedented official sales of million of gold, the rich and the privileged classes of Burma were all in panic. They bought everywhere gold and paid out their hidden black Burmese currency. Although they do evils in collution with the generals, they never believe the generals nor their army but gold.

   Thus the price of gold flies up crazily.

   How about the people of all nationalities of Burma?

   -One quarter of the population ( ca.15 million people) are under the poverty line.

   -57.6% of the children are impossible going to school due to poverty.

   -In the non-Burman area elementary schools are closed down because of the Burmanization policy. -One out of every three children under five suffers from malnutrition.

   -Infant Mortality Rate : 76 deaths per every 1,000 live births.

   -Under-five Mortality Rate : 107 deaths per 1,000 live births.

   -Average Maternal Mortality Rate: 360 per 100,000 in the year 2000.

   -Child Soldiers because of poverty - 70,000

   -Ongoing rapes are committed everyday by Burma Army in ethnic nationality areas.

   -Increased massacres happen in areas of ethnic nationalities.

   -There are massive forced displacement and forced labour of ethnic villagers by Burma army.

   -There happen everyday collective rapes of ethnic women by Burma army.

   -700 thousand of civil-war-refugees and forced displace-villagers have been running into neighbouring countries.

   -Sick people are merely waiting to die due to poverty.

   The people of all nationalities of Burma have been suffering hell from the junta-made catastrophe.They are helpless.They feel that the green land of Burma and all the good do not belong to them.They have no fortune nor money to ward off evil or catastrophe.

   The People of Burma ,famous for being content with their lot, are now looking at the bright planet Mars and praying for–

   NEVER SUCH HELL IN NEXT LIFE!
